Since 1975, Lutheran Social Services Of Southwest (LSS-SW) has been dedicated to assisting refugees in Tucson and Phoenix who have fled violence and armed conflict. The United States, embracing its identity as a nation of immigrants, annually welcomes refugees and asylees identified by the President and the State Department as having an exceptional need for protection. LSS-SW, in collaboration with volunteers and community Co-Sponsor Teams, provides essential services to approximately 400 refugees each year, including pre-arrival housing, case management, transportation assistance, employment support, K-12 education services, women's empowerment programs, immigration services, and the Tucson Refugee Youth Mentor Program. Join LSS-SW in supporting these resilient individuals as they build new lives in a nation that values compassion and opportunity.
