The Director of College & Career Counseling works closely with juniors and seniors, guiding them through the entire application process. Formal counseling starts in the junior year, covering topics such as essay writing, understanding application terms, and preparing for standardized tests. The comprehensive College Counseling Handbook outlines crucial information. Seniors engage in weekly sessions until all application materials are submitted, and opportunities for standardized exams are provided on campus. Orme hosts college admission representatives, and by December, applications and documents are sent, accompanied by The Orme School Profile. College decisions are typically communicated by mid-April, with a 100 percent acceptance rate for Orme graduates. The process underscores Orme's commitment to individualized attention and finding the optimal college fit for each student.
