Healing, Equity, Advocacy & Leadership (HEAL) Project


The Healing, Equity, Advocacy & Leadership (HEAL) Project, based in Sacramento, CA and operated by the California Health Collaborative, focuses on substance use prevention among Latinx and Black Youth. Its goals include reducing substance use among 9th grade Latino students and drug-related suspensions among Hispanic/Latino and African American students. The project utilizes healing circles, youth coalitions, art engagement, and a youth advocacy summit to achieve its objectives.
