Children's Home Society of California (CHS) takes pride in offering a convenient online payment option for family fees, catering to the ease and comfort of parents and guardians. Ensuring timely payment, family fees are required to be settled by the first day of each month, in advance of availing child care services for that month. Families subject to these fees receive a Notice of Action (NOA), detailing the monthly charge, distinguishing between full-time care (130 hours or more per month) and part-time care (less than 130 hours per month). It's important to note that family fees are determined by your certified need for care, not the actual usage.
To avoid any complications, it's essential to cover any additional charges resulting from returned or rejected online payments due to insufficient funds. Failure to meet the payment deadline will lead to the issuance of a dis-enrollment NOA.
Once CHS processes your payment, a pre-numbered receipt will be dispatched via United States Postal Service (USPS) to the address on file. This receipt includes details such as the amount paid, date of payment, payment rate, and the corresponding service period.
