Child Support

Child support refers to the financial assistance provided by one parent to the other for the upbringing and care of their child or children. This support is typically paid by the noncustodial parent to the custodial parent to help cover expenses such as food, shelter, clothing, education, and healthcare. Child support arrangements are often determined by court order or through an agreement between the parents, and the amount is usually based on factors such as the income of both parents, the needs of the child, and any special circumstances. Ensuring the financial well-being of the child is the primary goal of child support, helping to provide for their basic needs and ensuring they have the resources necessary for a healthy and fulfilling upbringing.
