Tea House

Quality is at the heart of everything we do at Vanport Manufacturing, and our Tea House exemplifies this commitment to Japanese tradition and excellence. The Tea House, completed after nearly two years of meticulous craftsmanship in 1980, showcases both "atarimae hinshitsu" and "miryokuteki hinshitsu" — functional and aesthetic quality, respectively. Every piece of lumber was hand-selected to ensure it met both criteria, reflecting our dedication to quality at every stage of the process. Built using 1000-year-old "Zairai" or "Post and Beam" construction techniques, the Tea House is a masterpiece of craftsmanship and natural beauty. Intricate hand carving and joinery techniques were used, resulting in a structure that is not only functional but also inherently beautiful. Today, the Tea House serves as a testament to our commitment to quality and customer service, providing a familiar environment to showcase the variety of products Vanport offers in their final form.
