Elementary Tutoring

Corners Academy's Elementary Tutoring program serves as a vital intervention for students at risk of dropping out, partnering with twenty elementary schools to provide essential support. As a bridge between Early Learning and Teen Programs, our tutoring ensures seamless continuity in student growth from early childhood through high school graduation. Our after-school tutoring formula encompasses comprehensive support, including homework assistance, curriculum-guided instruction in reading and math, social and emotional learning activities, as well as physical and nutritional health initiatives. Through our program, students not only receive academic assistance but also cultivate a sense of competence and confidence, learning the value of hard work and the importance of seeking help when needed. In 2022, Corners Academy saw remarkable achievements, with record-breaking attendance in both after-school and summer programs, engaging over 650 students and expanding collaborative efforts with various community partners. From significant improvements in reading and math grades to impactful initiatives like a full-day summer camp and a multi-language program, Corners Academy is dedicated to empowering students and families for success.
