At the City of North Plains, safeguarding the well-being of our residents in times of crisis is paramount. In alignment with state regulations, we've developed a robust Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) meticulously crafted to address a spectrum of potential emergencies and disasters that may affect our community. Updated regularly and adopted by the City Council, our EOP serves as a comprehensive framework for effectively managing diverse emergencies, ranging from natural calamities to public health crises and man-made threats. As active participants in the Washington County Emergency Management Cooperative, we collaborate closely to ensure a coordinated, countywide approach to disaster preparedness and response, emphasizing the importance of integration and synergy in safeguarding our community. Spearheaded by our dedicated Public Works Director, who serves as the designated Emergency Manager, our efforts are bolstered by partnerships with local, state, and regional stakeholders. However, we recognize that resilience begins with individual preparedness, and we encourage all residents to take proactive steps in readiness, ensuring collective safety and well-being during challenging times.
