Rapid Response is a free, publicly-funded service designed to help both employers and employees during tough times. For employers, it offers programs to minimize or prevent potential layoffs. For workers who have recently been or are about to be laid off, Rapid Response connects them with public services like unemployment insurance benefits, healthcare coverage, training and education resources, career counseling, and more.
Created as part of the Workforce Investment Act of 1998 and funded by the federal government, Rapid Response is available at no cost to employers or employees.
