Volunteers

At Mt. Hood Hospice, volunteers play a crucial role in providing both practical and emotional support to hospice patients and their families. Our dedicated Patient/Family Volunteers offer home visits, regular phone calls, respite care, and help with errands, bringing compassion and understanding from their own experiences with loss. Specially screened and trained through a 21-hour program, they come from all walks of life.

Veteran-to-Veteran Volunteers, part of our We Honor Veterans program, provide support and recognition to fellow veterans, drawing on their shared experiences. Pet Peace of Mind Volunteers assist critically ill patients in caring for their beloved pets, ensuring they remain together during the end-of-life journey. Office Volunteers handle administrative tasks, while Special Event and Fundraising Volunteers help organize activities and raise funds to support our services. Each role is vital in maintaining our mission of compassionate care and community support. If you have a passion for helping others and want to make a difference, we welcome you to join our volunteer team.
