Romulus Public Library offers a Homebound Delivery Service designed specifically for patrons who are unable to visit the library in person. This service is exclusively available to homebound individuals within our community. Please note that this service cannot be used as a substitute for visiting the library; eligibility may be reassessed if misuse is suspected.
Participants in this program can request and receive only Romulus Public Library items—interlibrary loan or MeLCat items are not available through this service. Our dedicated volunteers conduct deliveries and pickups once a week, providing a specified time window for each delivery.
For the convenience of our patrons, please ensure all materials are bagged for pickup. Books are loaned for three weeks, while DVDs are loaned for one week with the option to renew if eligible. Each delivery is limited to two books and two DVDs, and new items are not available for checkout through this service.
Patrons are responsible for any missing or damaged items, and we kindly request that materials not be left outside for pickup; please wait until our volunteer arrives. This service aims to enhance accessibility and ensure all community members can enjoy library resources from the comfort of their homes.
