Arizona Electric Power Cooperative (AEPCO) operates a robust transmission network that extends from the Apache Generating Station in Cochise, Arizona, across diverse regions including Southern Arizona, Western New Mexico, Northwestern Arizona, and Southern California. AEPCO owns 866 miles of transmission lines and 36 substations, facilitating the distribution of wholesale electric power to six Class A member distribution cooperatives. These cooperatives collectively serve over 420,000 consumer-members. AEPCO's commitment to reliability and cost efficiency is demonstrated through strategic partnerships and significant investments in transmission infrastructure, such as the Saguaro-Marana and Schieffelin-Tombstone Junction-Boothill projects, enhancing service reliability and system strength across multiple states.
