The city of Lansing is pleased to announce the reopening of the natural surface walking trails at Bernard Park. These trails had been closed for enhancements during the construction of a new baseball/softball complex. Visitors are now welcome to enjoy the scenic routes, although certain areas remain restricted as indicated on park maps. While the park's new facilities, including a parking lot, are still under finalization, guests are advised to avoid these areas. Additionally, due to ongoing work, some trail sections may be wet, especially near the stream on the north loop, and construction traffic may be present. For safety and to facilitate smooth operations, visitors should not obstruct access with their vehicles. Bernard Park is located at 15650 Gilman Rd., approximately 2.5 miles west of the intersection of K-7 and 4H Rd. For further details, please contact the Lansing Parks and Recreation Department.
