Public Utilities

The Department of Public Utilities in Richmond, VA, underwent a significant transformation with the help of nbjArch. The project involved renovating a deteriorated building in the Manchester district to accommodate a variety of operational needs. The new facility now houses vactor trucks, and state-of-the-art water testing laboratories, and provides ample storage and office space. The renovation introduced dynamic office layouts, modern laboratories, and flexible conferencing areas, all underpinned by sustainable design principles. Enhanced with modern metal panels and a glass canopy, the building's facade has been completely revitalized, reflecting the innovative and functional interior spaces.
