CADE TO HOST GRANT WRITING WORKSHOP FOR SMALL FARM AND FOOD BUSINESSES
Discover an Additional Source of Funding by Learning How to Find and Apply for Available Grants

ONEONTA, NY – November 18, 2016 – CADE, the Center for Agricultural Development & Entrepreneurship, is offering a Grant Writing Basics workshop on Friday, Dec. 2nd, from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. This workshop is designed for all farm and food producers interested in applying for grants to use as an additional funding source.

There is a lot of talks these days about grants being available to help support your farm and food business in New York State. Grants can be an excellent component in your funding plan, but you have to get the grant before you can count on it.

In this workshop, Sonia Janiszewski, CADE's program manager, will share a calendar of grants that may be right for your farm and provide a step-by-step approach to developing the elements needed for your grant "letter of interest" or application.

Participants are asked to come to the workshop with their project idea and the funding amount they will need to make it happen.

Attend this workshop at CADE's Office at 5 Elm St, Second Floor, Oneonta, NY 13820. Registration is required and can be completed at www.cadefarms.org/incubator-registrations.

This event was developed for Farm & Food Business Incubator participants but is open to anyone interested. CADE and SUNY Cobleskill are currently seeking participants for the Farm & Food Business Incubator, which provides business training and value-added product development facilities for new and expanding farm and food entrepreneurs. Whether looking to establish or expand, the Incubator provides access to invaluable services and resources through educational programming with local and national experts; access to customized support and mentoring; and for value-added producers, the ability to process without on-farm infrastructure.
