Fostering
Most children are placed in resource care due to circumstances beyond their control such as sexual, emotional, and physical abuse and neglect. Many of these children are placed in homes outside our area due to a lack of resource homes. We would like to keep children local to their home counties so they may go about their everyday life and not focus on the interruption they are experiencing. Also, keeping the children local allows them to remain in schools they are currently attending. Allowing them to be with their group of friends and teachers thus leaving some familiarity in their lives, but also so their educational goals do not suffer.
