I've been part of this town for a while now, and love the town and how welcoming it has been to us.

3.  What challenges has your business faced since opening?

Since I opened Simply Trendy 4 years ago I have met so many people.

4.  Where are you/your business headed in the future? What would you like the future to hold for your business?

I want my store to be a place where people can stop in and just chit chat and share there lives with me. It's not always about the sale!!! I feel that in this small town we offer a lot to the community and that we need to keep the people shopping local.

I feel if I keep the prices good the customer service great than we all win!!

1. How did you end up in Winnemucca?

I was born in Winnemucca at raised at the Kings River Ranch.  I attended elementary school at Kings River's two-room school house, then later moved to McDermitt until my senior year.  I graduated from Lowry High School.  After finishing college at UNR then Pacific University and working as a new Optometrist in Reno for 2 years, my wife and I decided to return to Winnemucca over 9 years ago to raise our children here and to be closer to family.

2.  What do you like most about the community/Winnemucca?

I enjoy how close the community members are.  It's great to often see people who care about one another.

3.  What challenges has your business faced since opening?

My business hasn't faced any major challenges since opening.  Our patients have been very loyal and supportive, for which I'm very grateful.

4.  Where are you/your business headed in the future? What would you like the future to hold for your business?

We strive to keep up with the latest technology, offering our patients the best in eye care and vision services.

5.  Tell us something little known about  yourself/business.  What do you like to do on a Saturday morning?

I enjoy spending time with my family and volunteering with local service projects.  I'm currently the president of the Rotary Club of Winnemucca, which keeps me busy.  I also help with the LaRena Smith Bengoa Run, Ride or Walk for the Cure, an organization named after my late aunt which provides support for locals undergoing cancer treatments.  I also enjoy running, hiking, and camping.
