Margaretville Central School is pleased to be transporting your children this new school year. We are committed to the safety of your child. We are very proud of the safety record of our school buses and the professionalism of our transportation team.

Please help us ensure your child's safety by following these simple but important procedures:

  • Be on time, arrive five minutes early to your bus stop. Children who are late for the bus should not chase it, never run to or from the bus.
  • Insist that your child wait for the bus safely in an orderly fashion, back from the road. Don't push or shove.
  • Wait for the drivers signal before your cross. Always cross at least 10 feet in front of the bus.
  • Stay in your seat, facing forward and sitting quietly. Behavior problems could distract the bus driver. It's important that our drivers are able to concentrate on driving the route safely.

If you have any questions or anything makes your child feel unsafe at the bus stop or on the bus ride, please contact me at the bus garage at 845-586-4161.
