Usui Reiki

Usui Reiki is the original Reiki, the base from which Karuna Reiki has evolved. Mikao Usui invented Reiki in the early 1900s. He derived the term from the Japanese words “Rei” and “ki” which translates as “Universal Life Force”, which refers to the vital energy of all living things. Reiki is used in hospitals and hospices, especially in Oncology wards to complement other health treatments.

Karuna® Reiki

The origin of the word “Karuna” is Sanskrit. It refers to the universal ideas and meanings that relate to unconditional love, compassion, spiritual evolution, and other related concepts.

Karuna is a way to help yourself and others because we all are one; all interconnected, and helping ourselves heal will help us to heal others. Karuna Reiki has been developed from Usui Reiki and must be practiced as a continuance of Usui Reiki.
