Breastfeeding Services
WIC supports breastfeeding and strives to provide evidence-based information and support to pregnant and new parents. CRP WIC provides the following benefits and support to help parents meet their breastfeeding goals:
- One-on-one breastfeeding education and support with International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC)
- Online breastfeeding education
- Lactation rooms/corners at all WIC office locations
- Electric breast pump loans (with assessment and support by WIC breastfeeding staff)
- Breastfeeding supplies, such as nursing pads and bras
- Breastfeeding Helpline: call (916) 326-5841
- Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Program: mother-to-mother partnerships for breastfeeding success
