While practicing criminal defense, Angel became acutely aware of the injustices of the justice system. Angel vowed to always listen to her clients and never discredit their experiences. So many criminal defendants are bullied through the judicial process and dont have the ability to speak up for themselves when it really counts.
Throughout law school Angel never planned on working in this area of law, her passion was civil litigation and probate. Angel interned at a Phoenix-based probate law firm and assisted the Probate Lawyers Assistance Project prior to graduation. However, once she began practicing criminal defense she found her purpose and learned that she couldnt imagine a life without advocating for those in need.

La Casa de Paz
Shelter service opened in 1986.
The facility is the only domestic violence shelter of its kind in Western Pinal County.
The goals of La Casa de Paz are to provide safety, stabilization, basic needs, guidance and counseling to families in need.
Women are assisted with exploring choices and alternatives to domestic violence.
Through advocacy and case management, staff assist members with locating appropriate providers of legal, medical, vocational, educational and/or other human services.
