The Northern Middle Tennessee Local Workforce Development Board is responsible for overseeing the local workforce system across a 13-county are in alignment with the TN Northern Middle Economic Jobs Based Camp. Its members, appointed by local county mayors and confirmed by the Governor, serve two-year staggered terms. The board collaborates with local elected officials to plan and manage the workforce system, creating and updating annual plans for Governor approval. They designate service providers, monitor performance, negotiate with the state board and Governor, and contribute to the labor market information system while seeking to leverage resources for economic growth.
