We received the first annual “Spirit to Preserve” award from Marriott. This prestigious award recognizes the franchisee who best exemplifies Marriott's global commitment to sustainability. Mark Carrier, our Senior Vice President, was presented the EcoCEO Award by SmartCEO Magazine for the Hospitality Group's effectiveness in implementing green programs in a large company. All of our Virginia hotels are certified as Virginia Green. One of our veteran managers who launched the Hospitality Group's green initiative received the Green Footprint Award from the Virginia Hospitality and Travel Association. The Holiday Inn in Gaithersburg, MD is a two-time award recipient from the City of Gaithersburg in recognition of their commitment to the environment.
