Our Information and Advice service supports thousands of older people, their carers, friends, and families every year with free and confidential information and support about housing, benefits, care, and local services. The service is run by our trained and experienced Advice team, as well as our dedicated Reception volunteers and support can be given over the phone or email, in person from our office on Old York Road between 10 am-3 pm Monday to Thursday or in your home if you cannot come to the office.
Our advisers can help you by running a check to see which benefits you are eligible for, supporting you with completing benefit applications, or giving you information about specific topics. We also have a specialist Scams adviser who can support older people who have been affected by scams and give advice about common scams to be aware of.
Please be aware that the Information and Advice service runs near capacity due to the impact of the Cost-of-Living crisis.
