Nestled in the picturesque setting of St. George, Utah, the University of Utah Graduate Center offers an enriching Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, cultivating licensed professional counselors adept at guiding individuals, families, and groups towards personal growth and development. With a curriculum emphasizing culturally-relevant, evidence-based, and strength-focused approaches, our program equips students to address a spectrum of mental health issues across diverse settings, from outpatient clinics to community agencies. Designed to meet Utah's licensure requirements for licensed Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselors (ACMHC), and aligning with national standards, our rigorous three-year program includes a 800-hour field-based practicum and internship. Leveraging interactive classrooms broadcasted from the University of Utah campus, students at our St. George Graduate Center benefit from expert instruction while studying close to home, fostering a dynamic learning experience enriched by local connections.
