The WVHS Little Free Library, designed and built by a Society member, is constructed from materials sourced from historic sites in and around West Volusia. These include 1926 Ludowici roof tiles from early 20th-century homes in DeLand, old-growth cypress from a late-1800s boathouse on Lake George, and mahogany from an antique Trumpy Motor Yacht, symbolizing the area's rich history in lumber and steamboat transportation. Officially chartered by the national Little Free Library organization, it joins over 80,000 registered Little Free Libraries worldwide, promoting a love of reading and community engagement.
