Facility and Operations

Primex operates a dedicated recycling facility in Richmond, IN, equipped with large grinders and shredders capable of producing over 40 million pounds of recycled material annually. This contributes to the approximately 200 million pounds of recycled plastic Primex processes each year. Additional equipment, such as blenders, pelletizers, and FTIR systems, supports our comprehensive recycling programs.

Process and Capabilities

Our recycling process includes cleaning, grinding, blending, and pelletizing large plastic parts. We recycle a wide range of polymers, including polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, PET, PETG, ABS, TPO, and TPE. Primex’s sustainability focus is embodied in our motto: "A better tomorrow starting today."

Industry Leadership

Primex is a leader in ReCycle custom sheet extrusion, handling over 200 million pounds of recycled plastics annually. With approximately 375,000 square feet of recycling facilities across five U.S. locations and one in the UK, we support each site with labs and testing equipment, including an A2LA-accredited lab at our corporate headquarters. Our customizable recycling processes meet the specific needs of each location, ensuring efficiency and sustainability.
